Once an exclusive playground of the rich and famous, Jekyll Island is now a state park owned by the State of Georgia.   Many of the historic cottages and homes (as well as the clubhouse) are open for tours. From touring the historic homes, taking a bike ride around the island, visiting the shops, walking the boardwalk, or enjoying the beach, there are any number of possibilities to fill the day.  The holidays add another bonus during Holly Jolly Jekyll.
